Imagine what their reaction is if they get a call almost straight away explaining that “I saw that you were interested in our company/product/service, what was it which you were specifically looking for ? I’d like to help you”.

Do not sell to them, just ask questions, understand their needs and what may be preventing them from buying, and offer a solution. Depending on your product or service, and how sales work in your Industry, after you have built up trust, qualified their need and your fit for what they want, now would be a good time to suggest a follow up meeting.

People are bound to be more receptive to a helpful call, especially when their interest is fresh in their mind. Contrast that to a call a week later when they are doing something else, may have forgotten your website, and your call may be a nuisance.
